Actor and TEEN CHOICE Award nominee Sarah Hyland (“Modern Family”) is set to co-host, alongside previously announced host Tyler Posey, TEEN CHOICE 2014, airing live Sunday, Aug. 10 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. In addition, voting has begun on several new categories, recognizing the new generation of stars on social media and the web.
Fans ages 13-19 can vote once each day per category for their favorite TEEN CHOICE 2014 nominees atwww.teenchoiceawards.com. Voting ends at 11:59 PM PT on Saturday, Aug. 9.
TEEN CHOICE 2014 celebrates the hottest teen icons in television, music, film, sports, fashion, comedy and the web. Taylor Swift, Ansel Elgort, Victoria Justice, Collins Key, Laura and Vanessa Marano, Ian Somerhalder, Odeya Rush, Brenton Thwaites and Ariana Grande join previously announced stars scheduled to appear Hilary Duff, Megan Fox, Fifth Harmony, Kevin Hart, Colton Haynes, Josh Hutcherson, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Lea Michele, The Band Perry, Keegan Allen, Jake T. Austin, Tyler Blackburn, Lucy Hale, Big Show, Jamie Blackley, Cody Simpson, Hailee Steinfeld, Gregg Sulkin, Bella Thorne, Nat Wolff and Zendaya. The special also will feature previously announced performances by Demi Lovato, Rita Ora, Jason Derulo, MAGIC! and Rixton.
Sarah Hyland currently stars in the Golden Globe Award- and Emmy Award-winning hit comedy “Modern Family,” as the ditsy, yet independent, “Haley Dunphy.” Hyland has worked in television, film and on stage since the age of four, starring in numerous plays and musicals, on and off-Broadway. Hyland is a current TEEN CHOICE 2014 nominee for “Choice TV Female Scene Stealer,” and was a TEEN CHOICE nominee for “Choice TV Female Scene Stealer” in 2012 and “Choice Breakout Talent” in 2010. Her charitable causes include The Lopez Foundation, as well as Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign (spearheaded by actor Jeff Bridges). She was honored at Variety’s Power of Youth (2012) for her work with The Lopez Foundation.
