21st Century Fox to Match up to $25,000 in Donations to United Way
FOX and its new family adventure series, THE GIFTED, kick off a social good campaign today using Donate in Facebook Live to benefit families in need. The campaign runs through next Monday, Oct. 2, when THE GIFTED premieres at 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT on FOX. All donations from the week-long campaign will be allocated to United Way Worldwide, which fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community. FOX’s parent company, 21st Century Fox, will match up to $25,000 in donations.
Under THE GIFTED’s theme, Family is the Ultimate Power, the campaign will launch at 1:00 PM PT today, with a Facebook Live session featuring cast members of the new series. Fans can upload stories onto Facebook about how family is their ultimate power, while also donating to United Way Worldwide. During the Facebook Live session, THE GIFTED cast members will read their favorite submitted stories and answer fan questions.
