Headquartered in Los Angeles and Sydney, the award-winning company has grown a portfolio of over 40 series for network, streaming, cable, and digital platforms in the U.S., Canada, and Australia. In 2022, the company was 100% acquired by global production group, Fremantle.
Eureka’s U.S. credits include The Mole, Holey Moley, Full Bloom, TwentySomethings Austin, Frogger, Name That Tune, The Real Dirty Dancing, Finding Magic Mike, Dating Around, Crikey It’s the Irwin and The Parent Test (adapted from Eureka’s Australian hit Parental Guidance).
In Australia, Eureka’s slate includes Luxe Listings, Byron Baes, Amazing Race Australia, Parental Guidance and many more. In 2022, Eureka also took on the development and production of all Fremantle’s entertainment, reality and game show formats in Australia, including Australia’s Got Talent, Australian Idol and Farmer Wants a Wife for Seven Network.
Prior to co-founding Eureka, Franklin was EVP, Programming, at Shine America where he launched and ran the company’s unscripted department, and executive produced multiple hits including MasterChef and MasterChef Junior, The Biggest Loser, The Face, Minute To Win It, Restaurant Startup, Fake-Off and Going Wild.
Franklin was previously Head of Programming at Shine Australia, where he played a central role in growing the startup business into Australia’s largest production company, while overseeing a slate of hits including The Voice (Nine Network), MasterChef and Junior MasterChef (Network Ten) and The Biggest Loser (Network Ten).
Between 2005-2009, Franklin served as Head of Factual Programming at FremantleMedia Australia, where he led top-rated franchises such as The Apprentice (Nine Network), Farmer Wants A Wife (Nine Network), Project Runway (Arena) and more.
