Kate del Castillo can most recently be seen in the third season of Fox’s hit drama The Cleaning Lady, as well as playing the lead of “Anna Montes de Oca” in the Vix+ series Volver A Caer, which was produced by her production company, Cholawood Productions and earned her the Imagen Award for Best Actress in a Television Drama. She starred as "Teresa Mendoza the Queen of the South" in La Reina del Sur, a very successful prime-time series for Telemundo (NBC/Universal) and Antena 3 (Spain).

She recently wrapped shooting the Amazon action thriller Trap House, where she stars opposite Dave Bautista, and can also be seen in the recent indie feature Es Por Su Bien. Del Castillo will next be seen starring in A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow for Ace Entertainment (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before), opposite Maia Reficco and Kit Connor, and the Spanish film Odio A Lana Cruz (aka The Biggest Fan), with Netflix Mexico.

Del Castillo broke through in America because of her award-winning performance in the hit Fox Searchlight movie Under the Same Moon, which is to date the highest-grossing Spanish-language theatrical release in U.S. history.

Besides being a successful actress, producer and entrepreneur, Del Castillo is also an outspoken activist and humanitarian. She was appointed as Ambassador for the Mexican Commission on Human Rights to help combat human trafficking. She is also a spokesperson for PETA and has received numerous Humanitarian awards and recognitions, including the key to the City of Los Angeles, where she currently resides. She owns her own brand of Tequila, Honor Del Castillo, and in 2019, she became a partner in MMA’s Combate Americas and started her all-female production company, Cholawood Productions.

Del Castillo was recently inducted into the 2024 class of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
