GOING DUTCH
LACI MOSLEY
as Sergeant Dana Conway
Named one of Vulture’s The Comedians You Should and Will Know, creator, actress, writer, and
producer Laci Mosley has quickly become “one to watch” in the entertainment industry. From bringing characters to life in film and television, to hosting an award-winning podcast, and creating and hosting her own docuseries, Laci has proven time and time again that she can do it all.
Laci is set to star in the upcoming FOX comedy Going Dutch premiering January 2, 2025. The single-cam comedy follows arrogant U.S. Army Colonel Patrick Quinn (Denis Leary), who after an unfiltered rant, is reassigned to the Netherlands, where he is punished with a command position at the “least important army base in the world.” Laci portrays Sergeant Dana Conway, the crafty Supply Sergeant at the base, and Maggie’s (Taylor Misiak) best friend. Dana grew up in Yonkers, it was either Cosmetology School or the Army but she couldn’t handle the high stakes of cutting someone else’s bangs. For most soldiers, the base is a place to be banished to or escaped from. For her, it’s home.
Laci will also be expanding her “Scam Goddess” empire with the debut of her upcoming non-fiction Scam Goddess TV adaptation with ABC News Studios. This comes only months after the recent release of her debut book, Scam Goddess: Lessons from a Life of Cons, Grifts, and Schemes, a delightfully subversive essay collection about the frauds, cons, and schemes that make up our world. Laci also helms the #1 award-winning podcast “Scam Goddess” (Earwolf) which is dedicated to fraud and all those who practice it. Time Magazine crowned the show as one of their 10 Best Podcasts of 2022. Rooted in Laci’s love of comedy and intertwined with true crime (without the murders), she garnered the Best Overall Host award at the 2024 iHeart Podcast Awards, with the podcast also winning multiple Webby and iHeart Podcast Awards over the years.
Further in the world of scripted television, Laci starred in the Paramount+ reboot of iCarly alongside Miranda Cosgrove and on the hit comedy series Lopez vs. Lopez, opposite George Lopez and his daughter Mayan Lopez. Additional credits include: critically acclaimed, award-winning sketch comedy series A Black Lady Sketch Show, Sherman’s Showcase, Kenan, Single Parents, Better Call Saul, and Insecure. Laci landed her first big break in 2019 with a starring role on Pop’s original series Florida Girls.
On the film front Laci starred in the Netflix comedy The Out-Laws opposite Adam Devine, Pierce Brosnan and Nina Dobrev.
Born in Terrell, Texas and raised in the suburbs of Frisco, Laci knew she wanted to be in the
entertainment industry at just five years old. Growing up in Texas, she was a cheerleader, ran track, and served as student council and student body president, all while nourishing her love for performing by juggling acting classes and theater workshops. She attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with Performance and Marketing degrees, then spent several years studying improvisational theater at UCB- Maude (sketch) and ASSSCAT. She made the move to Los Angeles several years ago and has been working ever since.
On the charity front, Laci is a member of UCB's initiative Project Rethink (started in 2020), which works to address systemic racism within the organization. She is an avid supporter of Black Lives Matter and has actively protested and raised funds for various organizations. When she isn't on set you can find Laci roller-skating (a hobby she picked up during quarantine) and hiking at Griffith Park and Runyon Canyon in the LA area.
