Golden Tate III, originally from Nashville, Tennessee, is a former NFL wide receiver and multi-sport athlete known for his exceptional talent and versatility. Tate's journey to professional sports began at the University of Notre Dame, where he excelled both on the football field and the baseball diamond. Tate became the first-ever Biletnikoff Award winner from Notre Dame. He was drafted twice for MLB, but ultimately chose the NFL and was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2nd round, 60th overall pick, in 2010. Tate quickly made his mark in the league. His versatility, speed and exceptional catching ability propelled him to prominence. During his four-year tenure with the Seahawks, Tate played a pivotal role in the team's victory at Super Bowl XLVIII, showcasing his talent on one of football's grandest stages.

Tate earned numerous accolades, including a Pro Bowl selection in a standout season where he recorded an impressive 99 catches for over 1,330 yards. His tenure in the NFL saw him don the jerseys of the Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants. For five seasons from 2015-2019, Tate held the YAC King title throughout the NFL with 1,003 yards after the catch, (nearly doubling Larry Fitzgerald’s 674 YAC, in 2nd place).

Tate's impact extended beyond statistics with his peers recognized his talent and contributions, voting him as one of the NFL's Top 100 Players in 2015. He frequently won community awards within the NFL for his community service not only in the cities he played for, but has continued to hold youth camps and scholarship programs for kids in his hometown of Nashville. He and his wife Elise’s philanthropic efforts through The Golden Future Foundation has helped thousands of children and US Service members.  Throughout his twelve-year career, Tate consistently demonstrated his dedication, resilience and passion for the game, leaving an indelible mark on the NFL landscape.
